Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Sr. Principal System Test Proposal Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Engineering and other key functional disciplines to ensure that the proposal is technically sound and meets all budgetary and schedule requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Support a team of engineers and other project managers producing artifacts in support of capture efforts
- Engage in estimating, cost reduction opportunities, trade studies associated with sourcing, and Integrated Master Plan (IMP) / Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) activities
- Verify the proposal offering meets requirements and is capable of being executed within the specified contract limits
- Attend internal program, customer and/or supplier technical exchange meetings and/or formal program milestone reviews to provide and/or obtain progress status updates
The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels. The candidate must be a self-starter capable of flourishing in an environment with minimal direction. The candidate will need to have excellent communication and writing skills with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project.

Basic Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) discipline AND 9 years of related professional/military experience OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 7 years of related professional/military experience OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 4 years of related professional/military experience
- Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong Technical Writing Skills
- Experience working with multiple test disciplines (Specialty, Lab, Flight, or Instrumentation)
- Experience with proposals and program captures within the Aerospace and Defense industry
- Program/Project management experience including Change Management, Risk and Opportunity Management and Change Proposal processes
- Ability to manage communications with stakeholders through organized processes to ensure that program information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program stakeholder needs
- Ability to identify and address program impacts through systematic, proactive, approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors and promptly resolves conflicts across all levels of the program
- Ability to monitor/control program plans, cost and schedule baselines that meet both program contractual requirements and stakeholder expectations.
Salary Range: $114,900.00 - $172,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
