Project Manager, New Plant Construction & Engineering

Job Summary:
As a key player reporting directly to the VP of Operations for Bridor North America, the Project Manager will be instrumental in managing and ensuring the success of New Plant Construction projects crucial to Bridor's growth, specifically requiring experience in food manufacturing Plant Construction and engineering design. From overseeing new facility designs to leading on-site construction and start-up activities, this role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the core of our production operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end execution of capital projects, aligning timelines, budgets, and technical scopes with Bridor's goals, while formally adhering to budgets and timelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to define project goals, responsibilities, and agreements.
- Oversee on-site construction and start-up activities in our state-of-the-art Industrial Baking Plants.
- Drive the success of manufacturing processes at a commercial scale, addressing staffing needs, technical development, and more.
- Prioritize safety in project development and execution, ensuring the safe implementation of capital projects.
- Lead troubleshooting during commissioning and startup, covering technology transfer, validation, safety inspection, training, and production ramp-up.
- Prepare, review, and revise design basis and engineering packages for capital projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of hands-on experience overseeing manufacturing construction projects, preferably in the industrial baking manufacturing industry
- Strong technical background in construction oversight, engineering design, food processing equipment layout, and control systems
- Proven ability to define problems, take initiative, and prioritize objectives across multiple projects
- Excellent organizational, communication, and team-building skills
- Experience with formal budget and timeline adherence
- Strong contract negotiation skills and vendor management expertise
- Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced work environment
- PMP certification or similar project management certifications desired
- Professional Civil Engineering License desired
- CAD model and design drawing preparation expertise is desired
- Willingness to travel up to 50%, with flexibility for a work arrangement that may include frequent travel to each facility or planned facility locations.
