Posting Summary
The University Project Management Office ( UPMO ) is seeking a highly competent, motivated and organized individual with strong communication skills to serve as a Project Manager for large scale, high priority, projects that maximize efficiency and effectiveness of university-wide systems and resources. Working closely with the UPMO Director and Senior Project Manager, the position is responsible for the successful planning, design, oversight, and execution of strategic UVM projects. Responsibilities include business system, resource, and process analysis, documentation and improvement. This position will collaborate with senior leaders, campus partners and project teams to ensure projects adhere to scope, schedule and budget. The Project Manager applies problem solving, analytical, communication and change management strategies, while managing multiple projects and communicating with key stakeholders. The position reports to the Director of the University Project Management Office.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline and three or more years of project management experience required. Proven success working with all levels of management. Proficiency with Microsoft applications and experience with ERP software applications required. Effective communication, interpersonal and presentation skills required. High attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines required.
Desirable Qualifications
Professional certification such as PMP desirable
