The Agency of Transportation (AOT) is seeking a Senior Manager to oversee Railroad and Aviation infrastructure projects. This is a mid-level management position that will manage complicated rail and aviation projects from start to finish. This position will manage projects like railroad bridges and crossings, as well as Aviation projects like runways and taxiways. The Senior Manager will supervise a team of project managers within the bureau and will assist Bureau Director in creating annual budgets, which includes working with with Federal partners. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex civil engineering type projects, and will be able manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment. This position is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule.

Work is performed in both an office and field setting. Frequent visits to construction sites and district offices and garages are required. Incumbents should possess private means of transportation. Attendance at public meetings and hearings is required. Evening or weekend work will be required. A variety of strong adversarial opinions may be encountered.
Associate degree AND nine (9) years or more of management experience in one or more the following areas (a) development of program rules and policies; (b) development of long- and short-range goals and plans: (c) program evaluation; or (d) budget preparation OR highway maintenance, engineering, construction, planning or a combination thereof.
OR
High school diploma or equivalent AND eleven (11) years or more of management experience in one or more the following areas (a) development of program rules and policies; (b) development of long- and short-range goals and plans: (c) program evaluation; and (d) budget preparation OR highway maintenance, engineering, construction, planning.
Note: Some positions may require registration as a Professional Engineer (PE)
