Grade 14 Exempt Bargaining Unit: VSC-UP PAT
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and support new initiatives (open enrollment, workshops, credit & non-credit bearing trainings) in collaboration with the Executive Director for CPWE.
- Develop and execute a plan in response to an initiative. This may include but is not limited to marketing; customer service; student support services; vendor identification, selection, and management; content and curriculum review; preparing and copying materials; budget development and tracking; course logistics; interaction with university departments and personnel; and collections. • Identify resources needed for project initiative.
- Manage daily operational aspects of projects and project oversight on behalf of the CPWE. This may include managing site and other logistic needs; scheduling; enrollment management; phone, walk-in, and email inquiries.
- Represent the CPWE in external meetings.
- Assist with corporate degree student non-instructional advising to include program progression/degree plan accuracy and expected completion date.
- Make presentations to groups or companies on behalf of the CPWE.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to training.
- Interact with university departments and personnel on various committees and intercollegiate activities related to the assigned work.
- Represent the CPWE and pursue sales with external constituencies and companies as needed.
- Represent the CPWE and its Mission at various events, conferences, boards, committees, rotaries, and other meetings.
- Coordinate and administer online and open enrollment training.
- Assist with developing marketing materials to include press releases, website updates, electronic brochures, etc. working with VTSU (Vermont State University) Marketing.
- Duties performed in a standard office setting and remotely with the predictable need for travel.
- Work outside of regular business hours will be required on occasion. This includes evenings and weekends; with special needs around graduation and commencement activities of the VTSU.
- Perform other related duties as assigned. SUPERVISION RECEIVED General supervision is received from the Executive Director of the Center for Professional and Workforce Education.
Bachelor’s degree in education, business, or marketing or other appropriate discipline plus 3-5 years of relevant experience in a college or continuing education environment or a similar combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Knowledge:
- Microsoft computer applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and other usual and customary office applications.
- Administrative, oral, written, planning, and organizational skills.
- Budget management experience preferred. • Valid driver’s license required.
- Speak publicly and serve a variety of program related matters.
- Demonstrated ability to support a diverse community and promote diverse perspectives, and cultures in an inclusive environment.
Location: VTSU Williston Campus, with remote work possible.
