Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the Metro Elevator Carolinas President, the Project Coordinator will play a key role in the success of each individual project. The Project Coordinator's job responsibilities include scheduling, planning, and preparing various tasks while maintaining a strong focus on organizational excellence and customer relations. This position requires a proactive individual who excels in time management and possesses computer proficiency to enhance overall productivity and operational effectiveness.
Job Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):
Project and Scheduling Management
Coordinate bid documents and contract reviews.
Process invoices in accordance with payment schedules.
Coordinate drawings, finishes, modifications, and customer approvals.
Build and communicate project schedules to the customer and provide progress reports.
Assist with material tracking and process vendor payments.
Complete various other project coordination tasks to ensure projects perform as planned and ensure a positive customer experience.
Safety and Compliance
Support the team in tracking safety protocols including monthly minutes, accident filing, and coordinating follow-up on safety testing requirements.
Communicate safety concerns to customers and work to provide a safe working environment for our technicians.
Submit permit applications and inspections.
Financial Oversight
Ensure that material and labor costs align with monthly targets.
Manage customer billing, including tracking sales/margin, assisting in inventory review and cleanup.
Seek change notice opportunities, prepare change order paperwork, and ensure timely customer follow-up.
Inventory and Warehouse Management
Organize warehouse audits, inventory, and shipping.
Coordinate and follow up with local vendors and superintendents on the delivery of project material to ensure readiness prior to project start dates.
Communication and Leadership
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills for effective expectation setting and relationship building with internal and external customers.
Comfortable in a technical environment, utilizing Microsoft-based computer software.
Display strong leadership skills, be goal-oriented, with robust time management and organizational skills.
Self-motivated, capable of managing multiple simultaneous projects and responsibilities.
Qualifications
Elevator industry knowledge is preferred but not required.
Strong organization skills are necessary.
Able to display strong interpersonal communication skills.
Must be extremely organized and a self-starter.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary commensurate with qualifications (Range $50k - $80k)
