Project Coordinator

DL George & Sons Manufacturing is looking for a Project Coordinator with an Associates Degree in a related field or Vocational Training and 1-3 years of on the job training. The Project Coordinator will play a critical role in the overall success of the DL George & Sons family of companies by validating customer bills of materials and drawings, and by creating manufacturing routings for machining, fabrication and assembly to generate work orders.
Project Coordinator Skills & Attributes:

• Excellent math skills.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and specifications.
• Basic understanding of machining, welding and assembly processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of paint and powder coating a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of steel shapes and plates.

Project Coordinator Responsibilities and Duties:

• Validation of bills of materials using drawings and specifications.
• Entering material requirements into a MRP/ERP system.
• Entering manufacturing routings for parts and/or assemblies into MRP/ERP system.
• Calculating raw material requirements.
• Creating manufacturing cutlist.
• Project scheduling with the help of the operational team.
• Generate and release work orders to the production team.

Project Coordinator Required Education and Experience:

• Associates Degree in a related field or Vocational Training and 1-3 years of on the job training.
