Job Information
May assist with receiving, processing and filing staff reimbursements along with other university paperwork while maintaining all necessary files for proper documentation of Program activities. Develops and maintains an understanding of the organization and culture of the Laboratory Schools and the Middle School Program.
- 40% - Coordinate attendance process for Middle School. Correspond and communicate with parents and guardians, staff, teachers, and students in person, via email and phone about the Middle School in relation to attendance related issues. Produce weekly and semester attendance tracking reports for the Dean of Students.
- 30% - Assist the Principal, Assistant Principal and Dean of Students as requested.
- 10% - Answer general questions via phone, email, and in person, and forward and direct people to the appropriate departments and individuals.
- 10% - Solicit, draft, and post daily bulletin to Middle School faculty, students and families.
- 10% - Manage the distribution of daily loaner laptops to students.
- Manage interpersonal relationships and interact/communicate with clarity, tact and courtesy with patrons, patients, staff, faculty, students and others required.
- Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing required.
- Identify priorities required.
- Recognize and resolve or refer problems required.
- Work effectively with supervision and as a part of a team required.
- Use or learn a range of position-related software applications required.
- Significant reception and clerical experience required, preferably in an academic environment.
- Ability to organize work, compose correspondence, and maintain records required.

Additional Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- College degree preferred.
- Experience working in a school setting strongly preferred.
- Experience with database systems required, preferably with Powerschool and Schoology.
