Program Manager
Job Summary:
Responsible for leading, coordinating and integrating all activities to ensure the successful execution and outcome of a particular manufacturing contract. The Program Manager (PM) will be responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing levels and performance, cost controls, quality control, regulatory and contractual compliance, and overall success of the contract. The PM will formulate, plan, organize and execute contract related activities that meet the goals and objectives of the Program.
Responsibilities:
- Leads interdisciplinary team in all activities leading to program startup
- Plans, analyzes, evaluates, and manages the project
- Responsible to VP of Contract Manufacturing for cost, schedule & performance
- Serves as the company’s authorized point of contact to ensure contract compliance and satisfactory performance & maintains a close working relationship w/the customer
- Functions successfully in a Matrix environment
- Coordinates work schedules, resolves issues, and ensures high-quality, compliant performance of all tasks by personnel working on the contract, in conjunction with staff supervisors
- Oversees the quality and timely submission or deliverables, reports, etc.
- Provides analysis of project requirements and accurate cost estimates
- Provides and gathers required information to assist with coordination of support efforts
- Provides timely and effective conflict and issue resolution
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must possess a BS degree (MBA preferred) in a related field (Engineering degree preferred)
- PMP Certification Preferred
- 7-10 Years’ experience in program/project management
- Aerospace & Defense and/or automotive experience preferred
- US Government experience a plus
- Ability to effectively lead large program teams, and Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills in order to interact with peers clearly and meaningfully, outside agencies, vendors, providers, and stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving ability with experience coaching, training and disciplining employees.
- Knowledge and skill in using quality and risk management programs and processes to identify issues to improve practice and ensure compliance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English

Position Location: Madison Heights, MI – required 2 days a week in office. Frequent travel to Mississippi is expected. Relocation package provided.
