Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) is a new vehicle intelligence platform that will underpin all our future innovations across a wide range of technological advancements, including EVs and expanded automated driving. This means that you can potentially put a fingerprint on the vehicles that drive down the road! Our growing Embedded Platform Infrastructure Product team is seeking for a passionate and talented Program Manager, who will be a key interface with Product Management Team and Engineering Team.
As an Embedded PlatformProgram Manager, you will work directly with Product Management team and Engineering Team to understand the new systems and customer facing features for future vehicle applications. Your ability to generate infrastructure feature content roadmap and translate high level feature request to engineering metrics are crucial to our team’s success and our customers’ satisfaction. You will be leading reviews with affected domain experts and software teams to initiate workload and risk estimates to understand complete infrastructure impact.
This position will draw upon a blend of technical skills and program management skills. It can be an excellent opportunity to leverage your technical software skills while applying program management skills using SAFe process and tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop Embedded Platform infrastructure software execution roadmap plan to meet vehicle GVDP milestones
- Interface with program teams to generate the application specific infrastructure content List
- Work with product execution teams to plan and validate changes
- Work with Systems Engineering Team to decompose changes into functionality and associated acceptance criteria.
- Gather program architecture requirements for the requested new functionalities
- Coordinate with Hardware and System Engineering teams to ensure requirements are completely understood and immediately communicate concerns/roadblocks/risks
- Support Infrastructure CG test planning
- End to end product management by enabling requirement, software development and test traceability
- Manage implementation plan for Epics from Embedded Platform Product Team
- Follow Software & Service Lean Portfolio Management and Value Stream process
- Align cross-functional business and technical teams to help ensure alignment of goals and to help resolve conflicting priorities
- Monitor project progress and consolidate status reports
- Develop tracking scorecards and metrics to illustrate status and ownership
- Gain an understanding of Embedded Platform product to be able to assist in identification of issues and risks
- Prepare presentations for various levels of leadership
Required Skills
- BSE, BS in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Chemistry, Metallurgical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics, Materials Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in Embedded Controls, Software Architecture and Systems Engineering
- Understanding of automotive mechanical systems, electrical and electronic components, mechatronics, distributed control systems, serial data, and software architectural concepts
- Familiarity of software development processes
- Experience successfully leading activities/projects with high levels of ambiguity
- Highly developed oral and written communications skills
