How will you make an impact?
The person who fills this position will report directly to the Managing Director of Flight Service Procedures & Training Development. They will be responsible for maintaining and updating all Flight Service regulatory manuals and documents related to Envoy Flight Service, including the Flight Attendant’s digital Inflight Procedures Manual, the Minimum Inflight Procedures Manual, Envoy’s Exit Seat Program Manual, and the Safety Briefing Cards. They will also be responsible for developing and updating regulatory and non-regulatory procedures for Envoy Flight Attendants. This position works closely with the FAA, Envoy’s Flight Operations, Air Operations Training, Maintenance & Engineering, Airport Services, Security, and American Airlines to ensure all Flight Service policies and procedures are standardized and in compliance with all Envoy/AAG policies and FAA/TSA regulations.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Inflight Procedures Manual administrator for both the electronic and paper versions of this manual.
- Develop, update, and distribute the Flight Attendant Inflight Procedures Manual (IPM) revisions and bulletins in electronic format. Coordinate updates with FAA and prepare formal requests for FAA acceptance.
- Develop, update and distribute revisions to the Safety Briefing Cards and Exit Row Seat Program. Coordinate updates with FAA and prepare formal requests for FAA approval.
- Develop and update recorded Passenger Briefing information. Coordinate the upload of recorded announcements to aircraft and cabin trainer recording systems with American Airlines/Envoy Maintenance & Engineering.
- Serve as the Cabin lead on Envoy’s Safety Management System (SMS) Core Team and perform Safety Risk Analyses (SRAs) for cabin safety issues and new/revised procedures.
- Coordinate completion of Document Control Tools (DCTs) related to Cabin procedures with FAA during Safety Assurance System (SAS) quarterly surveillance.
- Complete documents related to Cabin procedures and present information for review during DOD/IOSA audits.
- Prepare and present information for review during Cabin Safety Committee, Flight Safety Assurance Work Group, and Turbulence Task Force meetings.
- Assist courseware developers to ensure the procedures contained in all Flight Service training courseware is consistent with procedures published in the IPM.
- Act as Flight Service representative at internal and industry-wide meetings regarding cabin safety-related issues.
- Review Federal Air Regulation updates to ensure Inflight compliance.
- Serve as Flight Service Go Team member during Emergency Response events.
- Serve as the Flight Service primary committee member of the Cabin Confidential Action Safety Program (CSAP)
- Compose and distribute informational emails and HI6s to Flight Service workgroup.
Who are we looking for?
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Current or previous experience as an Instructor/Evaluator (I/E) preferred
- Current or previous experience as a Flight Attendant is preferred Thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations
- Thorough knowledge of Envoy Flight Service policies and procedures
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Strong editing skills
- Intermediate skill level for all Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, Outlook
and PowerPoint - Current or previous experience in Comply365 DCM and Intelex
- Possess the legal right to work in the United States
- Possess the ability to read, write, understand and speak the English language
- Are able to travel
Additional Position Details
- Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
- Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable
- Federal law requires Envoy to determine an applicant's history of Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and/or alcohol violation(s) or refusal(s) to test before hiring him/her into a safety-sensitive position.
