UCLA's Alumni Association builds and sustains active engagement with our 500,000+ alumni throughout their lifespan. If you are highly organized, detail-oriented and want your work to make an impact, start or further your career as a Program Coordinator within UCLA Alumni Affairs Diversity Programs and Initiatives team. Reporting to the Interim Senior Director of Diversity Programs and Initiatives, you will provide administrative, operational and programmatic support for a wide variety of our initiatives, activities and events.
As our Program Coordinator your will provide general program support, including but not limited to meeting preparation and logistics, data collection and data maintenance, event planning, budgetary oversight, communications, social media planning and support to the professional staff and volunteers of Diversity Programs and Initiatives. You will be responsible for organizing and executing event logistics for Diversity Programs and Initiatives' signature programs, the Diversity Digest, advising and supporting event marketing and logistics of identity-based alumni groups, and organizing and monitoring the workflow of various projects, including program data management. In addition, you will also handle public contact on the telephone and in person to provide initial respondent service to student, alumni and community members that contact the unit. You will be a vital member of our team, interacting with a wide variety of internal and external constituents to further the mission of our Alumni Affairs organization as it relates to Diversity Programs and Initiatives.

1. Prior experience in an alumni-, volunteer- and/or student-driven environment with a demonstrated ability build cooperative, effective relationships with alumni/volunteers/students, etc.

2. Experience in providing a high level of customer service to constituents and responding to member inquiries and concerns in a customer service-oriented, dues-supported and/or constituent services environment.

3. Ability to work as part of a team toward a common goal; strong interpersonal to build and maintain cooperative working relationships with other staff members, students, volunteers and administrators.

4. Ability to coordinate meetings and special events, including securing location, planning menus, and making arrangements with caterers and vendors. Also, compose invitation list and track RSVPs.
