About The Role
The Early Learning Coordinator, reporting to the Early Learning Program Manager and working under the guidance of the VP of Early Learning, plays a crucial role in supporting the administrative and logistical functions of the Early Learning department. This position serves as a liaison between the Early Learning department, Regional Directors, and Center Directors, ensuring the efficient operation of department programs and services.
What You'll Be Doing
- Establish and maintain effective organizational systems within the office.
- Collaborate and communicate with Early Learning staff, including Regional Directors and Center Directors, to provide administrative support for department programs, such as SEEDS, Pyramid Model, ASQ, Learning Genie, and MathShelf.
- Supports EL Program Manager in the continuous quality improvement process in line with each Center's Quality Improvement Plan through the Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS) by facilitating site visits, file reviews, and updating center information on county Hubbes or other online tracking systems.
- Assist in data collection efforts for all Early Learning department programs, including SEEDS, ASQ, DRDP, and Learning Genie.
- Support the department in maintaining program files and inventory of materials.
- Support and assist in the preparation and logistics for training events.
- Attend meetings as directed by the supervisor.
- Take minutes during meetings and distribute them to the appropriate staff.
- Serve as the first line of communication for the Early Learning department, providing accurate information and directing emails to the appropriate personnel as needed.
- Operate and maintain office equipment in a safe manner and call for service when needed.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance job-related skills.
- Maintain the confidentiality of children, families, and staff.
- Work collaboratively as a member of the agency team, promoting Kidango's mission and values.
- Provide excellent customer service to all staff, clients, and agency contacts.
- Advocate on behalf of all children, families, and staff of the agency.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Early Learning Program Manager or the VP of Early Learning.
Preferred qualifications
- Minimum AA degree or equivalent.
- Previous administrative or coordinator experience in an educational setting is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Effective, clear and strong communication both verbally and in writing.
- Enjoys working with a team.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Ability and desire to work independently and as a team member with other employees.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, Google Docs, and other cloud-based computer applications.
