Keystone Plastics Inc. is seeking a highly motivate and disciplined individual to supervise the daily operations of production department. The Production Supervisor will work with department leads on the production floor to manage all aspects of daily operations and ensure compliance to standard operating procedures while optimizing key performance indicators.
Successful candidate should have strong mechanical skill with extensive hands-on experience in problem solving in manufacturing environment. Cross functional collaboration with maintenance, engineering, process, and safety department is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Maximize productivity by optimizing personnel, workflow, scheduling, and resource allocation.
· Troubleshoot production issues promptly and effectively to minimize downtime and delays.
· Identify and resolve recurring production problems through root cause analysis working hands-on with leads and operators.
· Establish and maintain standard work and ensure compliance to established department work instructions, policies, and procedures.
· Work closely with production crew and maintenance department to establish autonomous maintenance schemes under the TPM concept.
· Direct communication with front line employees and leads to identify opportunities of improvement, perform corrective actions, and establish accountability to sustaining improvement initiatives.
· Working with Process Engineers to analyze and drive forward problem solving, quality improvement and waste reduction initiatives through lean manufacturing techniques.
· Collaborate with shift and department supervisors to ensure seamless operations.
· Mentor and coach Area Leads in managing their respective areas to sustain improvement initiatives and enhance our excellence in Safety, Quality, Productivity and Delivery Metrics.
· Ensure production reporting and inventory accuracy.
· Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree in suitable fields
· At least 3 years of manufacturing work experience as a hands-on Production Supervisor
· Strong mechanical background with demonstrated hands-on ability to troubleshoot and resolve production problems efficiently.
· Strong leadership skills and excel at coaching and mentoring.
· Highly motivated individual demonstrating self-initiatives and tenacity.
· Team player and able to build and maintain relationship in various departments and all levels of organization.
· Bilingual in Spanish and English
· Proficiency in computer skills and experience working with Microsoft Office
· Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
· Experienced in lean manufacturing methodologies and its practical implementation in manufacturing environment is a plus.
· Solid understanding of safety protocols and a commitment to creating a safe work environment.
· Experience in extrusion process is a plus
