The Supervisor is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, and executing the daily production schedules. Setting daily work assignments, ensuring equipment is performing to standard, performing housekeeping checks, scrap reporting, inventory management, and hourly mentoring employees. The Production Supervisor is also the primary point of contact for the first-response team, managing safety and accidents and reviewing material requirements and practices. They also enforce facility rules for all employees within the workgroup.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide leadership and direction to your team. This includes the following responsibilities listed below:
- Ensuring the on-time production and delivery of quality products.
- Pace of work and productivity and on-time Clocking, Reporting to Workstation, Lunch/Break Clocking, and Time Management/ Break Coverage
- Uniform Compliance and PPE Compliance
- Transaction and Inventory accuracy / Discipline and MFG2/Yard
- Attendance/Call-in Verification reporting, reporting Vacation, Planning, and Policy Adherence
- Proper Labor Balancing/Shift Staffing
- Conflict Resolution / Discipline / Reporting and Shift Culture/ Rewards & Recognition
- Training / Shadow program / Functional expectation/Housekeeping /5S
- Onboarding
- Set daily assignments of personnel engaged in manufacturing parts and components in accordance with print specifications and quality of work.
- Fosters professional growth and development of all personnel and promotes group unity, efficiency, and effectiveness by providing technical training and support to problem-solving and continuous improvement activities.
- Reviews the production schedule and verifies print specifications and requirements to determine the process, materials, machines, tooling requirements, and operations sequencing.
- Verifies set-ups performed by technicians to achieve optimum quality results.
- Assigns tasks to operators and identifies methods for coordinating the workflow to meet the production schedule.
- Formulates recommendations to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality, as well as improve working conditions, the workforce, and overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conducts in-process inspections and verification of finished parts to ascertain continuous and process quality conformance.
- Investigates malfunction of machines and equipment to determine the need for repair.
- Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred but not required.
- 2-5 years' experience in Injection Molding with good plastic processing knowledge preferred.
- 2-5 years’ supervision experience with good leadership and communication skills
- Strong troubleshooting, evaluating, and correcting process conditions.
- Start-up and shut down of all machines and auxiliary equipment.
- Must have good mechanical knowledge.
- Must have good hands-on skills.
- Must have good computer skills.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift to 30 / 50 lbs.
- Authorization to work in the United States.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS: The physical demands and working conditions requirements indicated below are examples of the orders to carry out the essential job functions.
Physical Demands: Sitting, standing, and walking (up to continuously); air travel; frequent use of computer and telephone requiring finger, hand, and arm movement; occasionally carrying office supplies and other miscellaneous items up to 30 / 50 pounds. Continuous use of seeing, hearing, and verbal communication.
Working Conditions: Work indoors and outdoors; exposure to temperatures commensurate with outdoor seasonal temperatures.
