Job Description
SUMMARY
As a Production Scheduler, the role involves supporting material planning and scheduling for the organization. Coordination with Sales, Customer Service, and Manufacturing departments is essential to enhance planning systems. Tasks include generating work orders, monitoring area capacity plans, and overseeing product forecasts. Additionally, acting as the point of contact for internal customers regarding product availability, scheduling, and capacity information is crucial. The goal is to deliver excellent customer service and meet company objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Maintain MRP or applicable scheduling systems: Handle work orders and capacity planning.
  • Coordinate material requirements: Communicate with internal customers.
  • Develop relationships: Maintain connections with internal and external customers, other Carlisle facilities, and Sales staff.
  • Ensure timely delivery: Monitor, track, and report on production planning processes.
  • Project management: Track milestones and maintain schedules.
  • Sales support: Participate in Sales and Operations Planning.
  • Shortage prevention: Proactively address shortages impacting production and shipments.
  • Documentation accuracy: Review relevant documents for precision.
  • Inventory management: Assist in maintaining appropriate inventory levels.
  • Daily tasks: Process RMAs, conduct forecasting, and monitor performance indicators.

Approximately 15% of travel is expected.
SALARY INFORMATION
According to the laws of several states, the salary range for this position falls between $66,560 and $81,775 per year. However, it is important to note that this salary information is merely a general guideline. When extending an offer, Carlisle Interconnect Technologies considers various factors such as the position's responsibilities, scope of work, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal pay equity, and market considerations.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
  • An associate's degree is required; a bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Technical, or a related field is preferred.
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in planning and scheduling positions is desired.
  • Cable and electronic component planning experience preferred.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
APICS/ISM/Supply Chain certification or willingness to complete the APICS certification program, or equivalent, within two years of employment is preferred.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Conversational in any other language preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
  • Basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Statistics: Interpret and analyze numerical data using statistical methods.

JOB SKILLS
Proficiency in general MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills required.
  • Advanced in MS Office, including MS Access, is preferred.
  • Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is also desired.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and SAP MM and PP module expertise are preferred.
  • Possesses exceptional material management skills such as planning and scheduling techniques.
  • General manufacturing knowledge, materials requirement planning (MRP), inventory control, transactional management, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Keen attention to detail and can work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrated a high degree of adaptability within an ever-changing and complex environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and an analytical background are desired.
  • Knowledge and expertise in various material replenishment systems such as kanban card, two bin, reorder point, and min-max.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective presentation skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
As part of their job duties, the employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day while frequently using their hands to handle objects and communicate verbally. Additionally, they may need to reach, stretch, push, pull, crouch, stoop, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds. This role requires specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.   • Hearing protection in specific locations.
