Mission Plastics, Inc. - a custom injection molding company located in Ontario, California is currently seeking to hire an experienced Production Planner Scheduler/Buyer for our manufacturing facility.

Position Overview: Under moderate supervision, the Production Planner Scheduler/Buyer at Mission Plastics, Inc. plays a crucial role in coordinating and facilitating timely purchases of raw materials, packaging, and purchased components. This position works closely with the Production Control Manager to ensure the efficiency of production processes, maintain accurate inventory levels, and support overall supply chain operations. The Planner/Buyer will be responsible for various tasks, including cycle counting inventory, entering and updating bills of materials, and collaborating with multiple departments to meet production and maintenance schedules.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate and facilitate with MRO Buyer timely purchases of raw materials, packaging, and purchased components.

2. Establish Master Production Plan to meet customer needs

3. Collaborate with the Production Control Manager to enter and update bills of materials.

4. Conduct cycle counts on inventory to verify raw material and finished goods inventory.

5. Enter data into spreadsheets and ERP System to ensure accurate record-keeping.

6. Facilitate the Vendor Performance system to ensure optimal supplier relationships.

7. Work with Quality Assurance, Tool Room, and Production departments to meet production and maintenance schedules.

8. Responsible for controlling and documenting bill of materials, production reporting, machine & mold histories, testing, and work orders.

9. Ensure data integrity of the IQMS/ERP databases.

10.Complete paperwork for daily, monthly, and annual reports related to job responsibilities.

11.Track and maintain database history related to job responsibilities.

12.Prepare production schedules and work orders for the production department.

13.Update and maintain mold movements, preventative requirements, and set up sheets for the Production Department.

14.Maintain cycle count records for finished goods products.

15.Provide clerical assistance for the data entry of purchase orders and may process internet or catalog orders for production-related buying.

16.Possess excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across all departments.

17.Demonstrate proficiency in databases, spreadsheets, and word documentation.

18.Exhibit good interpersonal skills.

19.Report to the Production Control Manager.

20.Be flexible to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Qualifications:

1. High school required; AA/AS preferred Proven experience in a Planner/Buyer role with 3 years in the plastics injection molding industry.

2. APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Certificate) preferred;

3. Valid California driver's license required.

4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

5. Proficiency in databases, spreadsheets, and word documentation.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Ability to work effectively under moderate supervision.

8. Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
