Production Manager

POSITION SUMMARY
For more than 100 years, Purina has led the charge in revolutionizing pet food production and its ability to enrich the lives of pets everywhere. By 1956, through innovative engineering, we literally reshaped Pet Care, introducing Dog Chow® as the first extruded dry food. We’re still at it today, with Tidy Cats®, the lightweight cat litter champion of the world and our new Ultra-Premium brands, Beyond® and Just Right® pet food.

As Production Manager, you will be responsible for the overall management, direction, and coordination of plant operations in carrying out Nestlé Purina’s production objectives. You will empower, coach, and develop key subordinates to ensure that safety, quality, operational and production standards are prioritized and achieved. In this leadership position, you will oversee production activities involved in the transformation of raw materials into finished product, thereby having a direct impact on factory efficiency, cost, waste, and output. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to plan and implement strategic initiatives to continuously improve and optimize operations.
  • Select, train, and develop team leads and support them in assessing, coaching, and managing performance of factory production personnel.
  • Champion safety and quality across all production lines and shifts and assist in fostering a culture of accountability, care, and pride in daily operations.
  • Act as a Change Agent to maintain and enhance production standards, resources, and processes to ensure compliance with internal and external guidelines.
  • Serve as a pillar leader for Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE), specifically Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Lean Manufacturing
  • Collaborate with factory leadership to plan and execute strategic maintenance, improvements, and projects to optimize equipment and facilities to expand plant capacity needs and strive toward a zero-waste environment.
  • Model Manufacturing Excellence (ME) through implementation of production goals and methods to achieve targeted delivery and quality requirements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role within a regulatory and high-speed manufacturing, production, warehouse, military, or related environment.

The approximate pay range for this position is $112,394-$140,626. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills and abilities.
