Job Title: Senior Production Manager

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations. Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the Senior Production Manager will oversee a team of 100 employees, including supervisors, and be responsible for driving productivity, efficiency, and quality throughout the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a diverse team of production personnel, including supervisors, to ensure operational excellence and achieve production targets.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing lean manufacturing principles and driving initiatives for process optimization and cost reduction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, maintenance, quality assurance, and supply chain, to resolve production issues and ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and production metrics to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, including coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Utilize technical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve complex machinery issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum uptime.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance and repair activities, implementing preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and longevity.
  • Drive initiatives for automation and technology integration to enhance productivity and streamline processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of senior-level management experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the paper manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence, improving efficiency, and reducing costs.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and develop teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and analytically.
  • Technical proficiency with manufacturing equipment and machinery, with the ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs as needed.
  • Knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory standards relevant to the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving objectives and driving success.
