We ship our products to over 2000 retail outlets covering more than half of the US from our primary production facility in Grand Saline, Texas which is conveniently located 70 miles East of downtown Dallas. We have additional facilities in Los Fresnos, Texas, and a network of contract growers in Florida, Alabama, and Texas.
THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS ROLE WOULD BE….
- Experience with computerized inventory systems is essential
- Ability to multitask and jump from one task to another
- Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Must be physically able to walk in the greenhouse for several hours at a time and be both heat and cold tolerant
- Be able to lift to 40 pounds, squat, bend, pull and push
- Please note this postion requires you to spend 75% of your daily time outside in the elements of weather counting inventory of the plants.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Production Inventory Administrative Assistant who will collect and interpret data to help J Berry take actionable steps to improve their performance and meet goals. Their duties include gathering company inventory information and statistics, building charts and graphs to present results to leaders and finding ways to improve a company’s efficiencies using gathered data.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains consistent stock of inventory.
- Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory
- Assists with periodic and annual physical inventory audits.
- Responsible for updating Production Inventory reports including potting, spacing, and any movement of physical inventory.
- Printing tags/labels, calculating and keeping track of labor, fertilizer, soil, usage.
- Entering new shipments in Trial Tracker as new plants come in and are planted.
- Identify data sources across departments, collect data, and source missing data, identify and resolve unconnected data and broken processes.
- Regularly examine data reports to assess quality of data and remove or clean data, locate and resolve mistakes throughout
- Prepare and communicate reports for leaders and project teams including, charts, graphs, PowerPoints and detailed or summary reports
- Assist with the updating, tracking, and reporting of business deliverables and company scorecard metrics; analyze data from Time Portal to help leaders manage hourly labor more efficiently
- Performs other related duties as requested

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of business experience in an inventory related role
- Ability to gather information to interpret and articulate the needs of staff and team members
- Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports
- Strong technical skills, resourceful, self-learner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving, organization skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility, including the ability to adjust to requirements in a dynamic work environment
- Familiarity with Sales and Operations planning
- Ability to use Microsoft Suite
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
