As the Product Development Manager, Dockers, you will report to the Sr. Director of Product. You will manage the execution of all Product Development, costing and sourcing activities, from proto samples to final manufacturing ready package in-line with supply chain strategies, cost, quality, and TOE requirements. This is a hybrid role based in the Levi Strauss & Co. headquarters in San Francisco.
About the JobManage execution of all Go to Market Calendar development activities and drive accountabilities across all phases of development to ensure dates are met.
Manage team of two developers and one assistant throughout the development process.
Manage execution of Protos/Samples/Pre-Production activities and monitor receipt to meet all deadlines.
Support execution of sourcing strategies.
Lead new vendor and category program development.
Lead seasonal costing activities; set high-level targets, understand breakdowns, and guide negotiation to finalize all costing.
Foster relationships with merchandising, design, supply planning and field organization.
Help resolve quality and testing issues.
Build Team goals and development plans for all members.
Bachelor’s Degree in apparel industry or combination of college education and related work experience.
Minimum 6-8 years or apparel production and/or Product Development experience (wovens, sweaters, knits) in tops and bottoms product categories.
Knowledge of garment construction, textiles, and sundries.
Expertise with Excel (can perform complex functions), PLM, and curiosity to learn new programs.
Dynamic, analytical problem solving and project management skills.
Positive attitude with outside of the box thinking.
Maintain cross functional relationships, multi-task, and remainflexible
Excellent discretion, judgment, tact, and diplomacy
Must demonstrate an energetic and teamwork demeanor at LS & Co.
The expected starting salary range for this role is $93,500- $145,000. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range based on the location of the role. The amount a particular employee will earn within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, performance and business needs.
