Working with our innovative engineering team, you'll help bring medicines to the world even faster by imagining what's possible and taking action.
What You Will Achieve
Working with Pfizer's dynamic production engineering team, you will play a critical role in developing and modifying process formulations, methods and controls to meet desired quality standards. Your production engineering skills will help in recommending and implementing improvements, modifications or additions that will help in solving problems. You will review product requirements in terms of product development compatibility and help Pfizer determine optimum costs and schedules of production.
As an associate, your focus on the job will contribute to achieving project tasks and goals. It is your domain knowledge, commitment, collaboration and dedication that will help us achieve new milestones and patients across the globe.
How You Will Achieve It
  • Support the vial filling lines OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) analyzing downtime data on a daily basis.
  • Evaluate/monitor and identify downtime and root cause, Change Over and cleaning activities to meet the standard time.
  • Monitor OEE / downtime metrics on a daily basis.
  • Bring updated information to morning meeting & shift meetings.
  • Assure improvement ideas are implemented and track progress on confidence curve.
  • Responsible for the Continuous Improvement action log.
  • Work/support with Operations to deploy standard work, change over Kaizens, PEPS deployment, 5s workshops and other.
  • Participate and support the Reliability Meetings.
  • Contribute to the completion of project milestones, organize own work to meet project task deadlines and communicate progress on scheduled projects.
  • Lead or support major equipment related investigations and implement equipment corrective or preventative action and performance improvements.
  • Organize testing associated with the development of new process technologies and the support of new product introductions and tech transfers.
  • Ensure integrity and compliance of data according to Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Coordinate all work on scheduled projects (personnel activities, documentation and outside resources).
  • Generate required documentation (Change Requests, Work Orders) to implement process related actions as required.

Qualifications
Must-Have
  • Bachelor's degree with 1+ years of relevant experience OR Associate Degree with 4+ years of relevant experience OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to provide technical solutions for complex problems through equipment and process understanding
  • Working knowledge of Food and Drug Administration Regulations, and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Proactive, has experience with high performance teams, strong interpersonal and project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer Applications experience

Nice-to-Have
  • Demonstrated experience in a relevant manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and experience with Drug Product processing and equipment

PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Sedentary work that requires occasional physical strength.
  • Role requires significant time standing in the shop floor and ability to dress in pharmaceutical PPE.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
  • Role supports a 24/7 operation. Must be available to provide on-call support during weekends, holidays and after working hours.

Work Location Assignment: On Premise
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $64,600.00 to $104,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 7.5% of the base salary.
