Process Engineer

Tramec Plastics and Composites, located in Wellington, KS, is currently seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer with plastic injection molding experience to join our 2nd or 3rd shift.

Responsibilities:

• New Tooling: Sampling, process development, participate in tool design reviews and part quoting process.
• Support production supervision to meet daily production requirements and review existing processes for optimization.
• Develop and maintain process documentation and storage system for process control.
• Troubleshoot problematic molds and recommend corrections to meet production objectives.
• Research and recommend technologies to improve production cost structures i.e., robotics, inspection automation etc.
• Communicate any problems or obstacles to Plant Manager.
• Train and evaluate technical staff for production support.
• Contribute to and implement divisional short- and long-range strategic planning.
• Manage area specific system procedures.
• Support a division housekeeping program.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment. Follow all safety regulations.
• Support and adhere to all system procedures.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• 2-year Degree/Certification or equivalent experience.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written.
• Ability to work as a team.
• Able to diagnose and resolve injection molding related concerns.
• Perform tool change overs.

Must train on 1st shift for 4-6 weeks.
