We are looking for an experienced Process Engineer to join our New Product Development Engineering team! The position is responsible for providing innovative and cost-savings solutions to CNC machining processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and deliver innovative and cost-effective CNC machining processes for new components including CNC machine, process, fixture, and tooling selection.
- Develop and debug new processes to meet customer and company required process capabilities and company cost targets.
- Represent Process Engineering team and provide manufacturing expertise to overall New Product Development and operational teams, including quality team, program management team, prototype team and sales team.
- Work with customer New Production Development teams and purchasing teams, providing feedback for design for manufacturability and process selection.
- Develop procedures, proper documentation and create and execute training programs to maintain process control.
- Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills to gain support and report progress to all stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree (i.e. BSME, BSMT, MET) or will receive degree prior to starting or equivalent experience
- Co-op experience high preferred
Not required, but a plus if you have experience in:
- Metal cutting including CNC machining centers, Swiss lathes, or CNC mill turns
- Developing manufacturing processes for high volume metal components
- Metal forming, machine tending automation, secondary processes
- Software experience: statistical process control software, i.e. Mini-Tab is preferred. OR solid modeling or 2D modeling software
