Princeton Tool, a Princeton Precision Group company is an industry leader in the aerospace & defense and power generation industries. We are actively seeking a dedicated Process Engineer to support automated machining methods. The Process Engineer-Automation will perform projects related to automation equipment with the goal of achieving cost reductions and process improvements. This individual will assist in all plant operations related to automation investments by controlling processes to levels that meet expectations related to quality, cost, control, and consistency.

Requirements
- Lead and work with engineers to install, maintain, and troubleshoot control systems and various automation processes
- Interact with development and product management teams for quick resolution when issues arise
- Set up projects, collect and input data, perform statistical analysis as the measure for significance
- Interface with engineering, quality and manufacturing to determine root cause for process and part issues
- Identify opportunities for process improvements resulting in cost reduction, quality improvement, and increased efficiency
- Perform day-to-day monitoring of department specific process outputs
- Complete projects in a timely manner with accuracy using sound scientific methodology, with attention to detail and good judgement
- Effectively communicate and work with manufacturing, quality, NPI, and engineering
- Provide input and analysis for procedural changes to include work instructions and manuals
- Other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
- Knowledge and ability to perform statistical analysis and technical report preparation
- Experience in Robotics centric application engineering, working as an engineering lead with extensive hands-on experience in Controls/ Electrical/ instrumentation design, PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)/ HMI (Human Machine Interface)/ PC (Process Center)/ Robot programming, Simulation, FAT, startup and commissioning of Greenfield and Brownfield projects.
- Experience in automation systems for logistics applications - Knowledge of Rockwell, Siemens, Fanuc controls platform or similar. Familiarity with Gateways, fail-safe systems, and communication protocols for interface to third party systems.
- Ability and willingness to take a well-rounded approach for systems design, change control, integration of sub systems. Lead technical reviews during toll gates and other critical project milestones.
- Knowledge of UL (Underwriters Laboratories)/ CSA standards. Sound knowledge of engineering and project management techniques, processes, and tools with a strong focus on safety and dedication to following workplace safety guidelines.
- Experience with solid-works preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office applications
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and oral at all levels
- Ability to define, plan, and complete projects with accuracy and on time
- Ability to apply engineering and scientific principles and methodology toward problem identification and resolution
- Strong understanding of GD&T
- Ability to balloon prints is preferred, but not required
- Strong understanding of Six Sigma methodology is preferred
- Ability and willingness to work with individuals with diverse expertise and backgrounds
- Knowledge of investment casting is preferred
Salary Description
$75,000-$110,000 per year
