SalaryThe Pricing Analyst will take an integral role in managing all retail/branded pricing proposals and changes throughout GLC’s pricing team. They will help facilitate and execute on the pricing processes. The incumbent will ensure all pricing aligns to support our corporate strategy, and develop continuous improvements to ensure the pricing process is delivering the expected results. The Pricing Analyst is responsible for ensuring that all approved pricing proposals and changes are effectively executed, and rolled out.
Job Responsibilities
- Participate in all major RFP Pricing Opportunities by ensuring the right price for the right item, while satisfying the primary objective of increasing overall profitability.
- Research and identify competitive product pricing information as part of the pricing process.
- Conduct pricing analytics and optimization to determine product profitability including cost to serve, price waterfalls, volume based price discount structures, rebates, freight and profitability thresholds.
- Understand and collaborate with the costing team on the associated cost build up for the items
- Coordinate with the Sales and Operations teams to ensure regular customer feedback is incorporated into pricing policies, and Sales understands the GLC Pricing Strategy.
- Maintain base price list for all regions and ensure pricing is accurately reflected in all systems and tools. Pricing must be relevant and based on previous price wins.
- Generate and analyze price performance reports. Summarize and present key findings to internal stakeholders to facilitate the development of new strategies and/or tactics to improve performance.
- Perform financial analyses to support the development of sales programs and promotional campaigns, and provide ongoing measurement on effectiveness.
- Participate in the design and development of new pricing systems, processes and reports.
- Determine and periodically review customer segmentation and buying behavior classifications.

Required Education and Experience
- 1-2 years of experience with P&L and margin/price decision-making.
- Strong business acumen, especially communication and decision-making skills.
- Capable of structuring data and deriving associated insights and actions
- Proven record of accomplishment for establishing and managing project plans and adjusting to changing environment.
- Skilled in process development, execution and continuous improvement.
- Must be legally authorized to work for a company in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Marketing disciplines.
- Familiarity with pricing software such as CPQ.
- Previous experience in the cheese/dairy industry or other high fixed cost manufacturing businesses.
- Strong communication skills, able to build relationships with Sales to maximize pricing effectiveness.
- Robust analytical skills and ability to utilize computer systems and related tools, including SAP, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Self-starting, proactive individual that is comfortable working independently and in teams.
- Keen sense of priorities and outspoken advocate of the bottom line.
- SAP experience.
Working Conditions
- Work is performed in an office setting.
- Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.
