The Clark School is searching for a full-time, year-round PreSchool Team Lead Teacher who is enthusiastic about working with young children and dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming environment for all families. While this position will spend their majority of time in the classroom, there are some administrative responsibilities. There is room for growth for the right candidate!
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare curriculum
- Develop caring and supportive relationships with all children and their families
- Support other team members
- Ensure safety of all children
- Communicate daily with Co-Teachers and the Director
- Monitor children’s progress
- Communicate with parents as needed
- Participate in supervision and team meetings
- Follow the Clark School philosophy
- Care for the space and school equipment
- Participate in recommended training programs, conferences and other aspects of professional development.
- Other tasks as assigned
Preferred Requirements:
- Lead teacher Toddler & Preschool certified
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood or related field
- At least 2 years of teaching experience with toddler/preschool age children
- Must be able to work an 8-hour shift between the hours of 7:15AM – 5:45PM
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pass a background check

- Good communication skills
- Knowledge of child development
- Ability to develop and present curriculum
- Experience teaching early childhood in a supervised setting
- EEC certification
- Ability to lift and carry children and other items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Ability to use arms, hands, legs, and feet, with or without corrective devices; this includes the ability to evacuate the building during emergencies
- Ability to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involved
- Ability to respond immediately to emergency situations
