Position Overview:
Reporting to the Manager of Commercial Asset Management, the Portfolio Analyst will support the Commercial Asset Management function and be responsible for portfolio management for Aspen’s solar energy projects. This role will be handling the existing AM team day-to-day processes, external and internal commercial communications, and financial reporting. The ability to work independently and being a team player are both critical. The passion and innovative mindset to perform as an important contributor within a fast-paced company environment are very important.
Responsibilities:
- Engage in comprehensive data-pulling activities to reflect fleet operation status and conduct financial analyses for both internal and external stakeholders, delivering insights periodically or upon request.
- Support budgeting and the ongoing budget-control process based on assumptions validation, financial model review, and cost analysis.
- Serve as a key liaison for external-facing communications, actively participating in commercial conversations and ensuring effective client management.
- Coordinate seamlessly with various internal teams including Investment, Accounting, Project Development, Legal, and QAQC, facilitating smooth transitions and onboardings for new projects.
- Take on the vital responsibility of managing revenue and cash flow, ensuring financial stability with precision and attention to detail.
- Assume ownership of contract management duties.
- Monitor projects' periodic compliance requirements, ensuring regulatory adherence and organizational compliance.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years working experience preferred, renewable energy industry experience, operation management experience, or start-up company working experience would be a plus.
- Bachelor’ degree in finance, economics, accounting, business analytics, or other related majors is preferred.
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Suites, with a robust knowledge of financial modeling.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented, capable of managing competing priorities and multi-tasking.
- Problem solver with an analytical mindset and self-motivator who takes initiative in addressing challenges.
- Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to navigate through big volumes of information and provide summaries to support decision-making.
- Ability to collaborate seamlessly across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of and passion for the solar marketplace, technology, and industry preferred.
Location: New York Office (Hybrid)
Compensation Range:
The salary range for this position is: $70,000 - $75,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and initial and subsequent annual equity awards, all at the sole discretion of the Company and in accordance with Company policy. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
Note that title and salary will be commensurate with candidate experience.
