Junior Enterprise Architect/AnalystExp with Application Portfolio Management (NYC - Hybrid)
We are looking to hire a candidate with the skill sets mentioned and experience for one of the prominent Health Systems in New York City. This is a 6-month contract opportunity initially, with the potential for extension (s) to a year and more based on performance.
Job Summary/Responsibilities:
The Application Portfolio Management – Analyst is responsible for collecting, managing, and governing the data that supports enterprise application inventory management, portfolio optimization, and using data and data analytics to help optimize a large Application Portfolio. Support between the lines of business and the technology delivery teams in support of new procedures and data collection and aggregation activities.
- Provide support and advise for product owners, risk analysts, governance personnel, and architects in the application data governance domain.
- Collaborate with peer groups across Technology, Risk, Architecture, and the LOBs to identify, document and articulate business requirements and drive technology solutions and processes.
- Support current state analysis of existing business systems, applications, and processes with other subject matter experts.
- Understand the long-term business objectives and suggest strategies to meet those objectives and introduce technical and automation innovations, as needed.
- Become deeply immersed and knowledgeable about core business functions, processes and workflows associated with assigned business areas and projects.
- Build tactical and strategic solutions that support continuous improvement in the application and architecture governance domains.
- Be able to provide program and project support as well as individual contributor functions as needed.
- Experience with Application Portfolio data management, processes, scorecards, KPIs/KRIs, and other socialization activities.
- Ensure the applications within the portfolio are well managed (software updates are implemented, backlog, roadmap, health checks, bug tracking/fixes, database health, end of life, decommissioning, etc.)
- Provide the timely delivery of projects and initiatives led by your team while utilizing Agile methodology to ensure your team's backlog of work is prioritized and managed effectively.
Required Qualifications:
- Overall experience of 3-5 years in IT industry with a focus onApplication Portfolio Managementand Software Development.
- A candidate with prior experience working as an analyst in the Enterprise Architecture domain is highly preferred.
- Experience with at least one of the Enterprise Architecture tools like LeanIX and Avolution is highly desired.
- Solid understanding of IT investment planning, third-party vendor support models, and technology lifecycle management.
- Experience building aggregate reports, scorecards, and other data visualizations.
- Have familiarity with IT architecture methodologies.
- Ability to lead business process modeling sessions.
- A Process Engineering background or process reengineering experience is considered a plus.
- Must have proven ability to realign priorities rapidly to meet evolving business requirements.
- Any healthcare Industry experience is preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
