Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Maintenance and Engineering Manager to join our team in the Engineering industry. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, plant maintenance, and plant engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all maintenance and engineering activities are carried out efficiently and effectively to meet the company's objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement maintenance and engineering strategies to ensure the smooth running of the plant operations.
- Manage and supervise the maintenance and engineering team to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and to the required standard.
- Develop and maintain the plant's maintenance and engineering budget.
- Ensure that maintenance and engineering activities are carried out in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce maintenance and engineering costs.
- Ensure that all plant equipment is maintained in good working order and that any faults are identified and repaired promptly.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure that maintenance and engineering activities are coordinated effectively.
- Provide technical support to other departments as required.
- Ensure that all maintenance and engineering documentation is up to date and accurate.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, engineering, plant maintenance, and plant engineering.
- A degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Proficient in the use of maintenance and engineering software.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
