Brandywine Living, a premier provider of quality senior living, is currently seeking a Business Office Managerat our community in Mahwah, NJ.

The Business Office Manager will direct Business Office activities in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations and as directed by the Executive Director. Along with, assuring that proper procedures are maintained at all times in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledgers and other required spreadsheets to track or create information needed for business operations.
- Organizes, maintains, and assists in the continued development and improvement in the community’s system of internal accounting. As well as establishing and maintaining accurate, complete files for each resident; all financial reports, and supporting documentation.
- Provides relevant, complete and accurate and timely financial information to residents, responsible parties, administrative staff, corporate staff, insurance carriers, and government agencies.
- Provides training to staff necessary to support the functions of the Business Office and correct problems and improve service and develops and maintains effective working rapport with other departments to identify any problems.
- Interprets the community’s A/R policies and procedures to staff, residents, family members and visitors as directed by the Executive Director.
- Maintains Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger and Payroll processing
- Ensures that all ancillary computer-processing systems used in conjunction with billing systems are interfacing and functioning properly.
- Maintains a manual census log to ensure the accuracy of census information for billing purposes. Reconciles log with computer-generated data at least weekly and prior to month end processing of bills.
Qualifications:
- Degree or certification in related field such as Business, Accounting, and Human Resources is desired
- Advanced knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping and Human Resources preferred including:
- Experience with accounting software preferred
- Experience with ATS desired
- Minimum of 2 years experience in billing, collections and accounts receivable processing on an automated billing system required
