This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Warren three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business].
The Role
The ME Body Planning Financial Analyst is part of the Global ME Body Planning organization. The Financial Analyst is part of a small Business Systems Development team which is responsible for the business process and reporting tools for Cost in ME Body. All our work is focused on Optimization of Cost-related ME business processes. For Stamping, Body, and Paint, we are responsible for Project Finance administration (SAP setup for Portfolio Projects, line owner assignments, funding transfers, project forecasting user support) and Budget performance and database administration.
What You'll Do
Load new projects into SAP. Set Project work breakdown structure (WBS) lines in SAP.
Own and maintain SAP load sheets dies and body
Support users to perform WINSHUTTLE process to transfer funds in SAP.
Update SAP approval ladder when managers change
Support SAP Delegation of Authority changes and SAP user setup and training for Body ME.
Support and enable Body ME users of CTLF project forecasting application
Perform analysis and meet with Project Owners to review forecast performance & variances.
Validate the ME Body portfolio project forecast monthly. Identify and make necessary corrections to user forecasts. The Finance Analyst has the final input over the monthly forecast.
Participate in the development of processes to automate data collection and reporting
Perform analysis and maintain records using Microsoft tools and other data tools
Support the portfolio/business planning process and handle a variety of special assignments
Develop and conduct presentations for all levels of management
Additional Description
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Engineering or equivalent technical training.
1-3 years of experience in project finance or project management with financial responsibility.
Proficiency to perform financial analysis using Microsoft applications, primarily Excel and PowerBI.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Greater than 3 years of experience in business finance
Knowledge and experience with GM ME financial business processes and systems
Proficiency using SAP for project financial management and reporting.
Proficiency using CTLF application for project forecasting
Experience with advanced data tools such as Knime, Python, Power Automate, PowerBI DAX.
