Description
Define, design, develop, and implement new manufacturing plant End of Line (EOL) Electrical Test Process layouts and manufacturing equipment including dynamic rotor Electrical Test system, stator wire resistance test system, insulation resistance test system, high potential (Hi-Pot) leakage current test system, electrical surge test system, and partial discharge test system, to support high volume production of future Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV3)/Battery Electric Truck (BET3) electric motor (stators and rotors), and future prime electric motors (stators and rotors), and meet plant Jobs per Hour (JpH), First Time Acceptance (FTA), and First Time Quality (FTQ) requirements. Execute machine acceptance run-off (MARO) and statistical process controls during procurement of process machinery, devices, and equipment, and assure the improvements to Global Propulsion Systems (GPS) Manufacturing Engineering (ME) engineering specifications, Bills of Process (BOPs), Bills of Equipment (BOEs), and Bills of Design (BODs). Prepare, plan, conduct, analyze and report Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (R&R) type 1, la, 2, and 3 and special gauge validation studies using Measurement System Analysis (MSA). Advise, develop and update Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEAs) and Process Control Plants (PCPs). Define g-Risk assessment for worker safety in using machines and equipment. Required travel to GM Global Propulsion Systems (CPS) plants in North America (US/CAN/MEX) to review installation and final acceptance of new electric motor Electrical Test equipment up to 7 weeks per year (equal to -13% annual travel).
