Job Overview
Pharmacist in-change who is responsible for the overall pharmacy operation and models SJH's purpose with all activities and communication. The role of the pharmacist is responsible for: dispensing prescriptions and specialty medications; administering appropriate immunizations; ensuring compliance with 340b program; creating a great customer experience; continuing professional relations with medical providers, insurance carriers and third-party administrators; ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies and SJH policies; and maintaining a positive, attentive and knowledgeable professional image of the pharmacy department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (in Pharmacy)
- Doctoral degree (PharmD)
- Equivalent FPGE (NABP)
- Minimum of fifth year college or university program with a degree in pharmacy. Completion of ACPE Accredited Immunization program preferred.
- Required completion of 340b program training, within 90 days of hire. Must demonstrate ability to read, write, speak, type, analyze and interpret and understand the English language.
- Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, understand business metrics, financial reports, and legal documents.
- 2-3 years of experience in retail pharmacy preferred; Previous 340B and/or specialty pharmacy experience preferred
- Hold and maintain a current, valid in-date license/registration to practice Pharmacy in the state of practice.
- Immunization privilege and required CPR certification preferred.
- Must not currently be on any federal government exclusion lists (i.e. OIG, GSA), have any active suspensions, sanctions, or other restrictions related to participation in a private, federal, or state health insurance program upon hire and thereafter.
