People Tech Program Manager
1 Year Contract (Remote)
Pay: $59-$62/HR
Responsibilities:
• Partner with assigned teams to set program and portfolio roadmaps, OKRs, and build appropriate processes to control the flow of work, prioritization, dependency management, and communications
• Take program and portfolio roadmaps and break the work down into actionable work streams
• Facilitate resource planning, prioritization and trade-off discussions and manage project budgets • Succinctly communicate to customers and stakeholders, about your progress, issues, risks, dependencies, and decisions needed
• Be a change agent and lead transformation management efforts
• Be a hands-on Program Manager that actively manages the details of multiple projects of varying size and complexity (e.g., business application enhancements, new system implementations, system and data integration work, M&A-related work).
• Foster strong partnerships with stakeholders and business and technical leaders and create project artefacts (plans, reports, dashboards, etc.) necessary to manage their projects and project portfolio.
• Assist in the creation of strategies and short to long term roadmap for the People Tech team
• Be a coach, consultant and advocate for multiple project management methodologies
• Identify and lead multi-functional dependencies and unblock roadblocks
• Prepare and deliver communications to varying audiences up to C-suite
• Use innovation and creativity to deliver automated insights in the form of dashboards, and potentially project portfolio management tools
• Collaborate and provide strategic input on the ongoing development of how the People Team PMO structures its processes and tools
Requirements:
• 5+ years of project management experience within an enterprise IT function and/or hybrid role working across business and technology, ideally at a growth technology company
• 3+ years of experience as a Program Manager within an enterprise IT function (ideally People Tech team)
• Breadth of knowledge of People ecosystems, experience working in various tech stacks and applications
• Superb communication skills with the ability to tailor verbal and written communications for the intended audience
• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining complex portfolio and project management in project management platforms
• 3+ years organizing and coordinating periodic portfolio planning and prioritization activities for a specific portfolio of projects.
• Excellent analytical skills, combined with impeccable business judgment and ability to communicate effectively with management, IT, non-technical internal and external users, vendors and international teams
• Experience defining projects with business stakeholders and working with technical teams to define and execute against the project roadmap
• Experience performing resource allocation and managing project budgets
• Experience performing cross-functional capacity planning for projects
• Experience running projects using a hybrid Waterfall and Agile approach
• Experience with project management tools like Jira, Smartsheets, & Asana
• Project management certifications (PMP, SCM)
