Job Description
The position is at a health tech company. As the Manager of People Ops, you will be a hands-on team member who can transition from strategic to tactical work while also serving as a thoughtful leader and partner to the People Ops team and others. This job will lead the charge as we focus on establishing a strong HR foundation that will allow us to expand while also offering the chance to discover, improve, and execute solutions to a wide range of challenging HR issues in a dynamic and fast-paced workplace.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the People Ops team, providing advice and assistance to achieve seamless daily operational excellence.
- Own the delivery, efficacy, and continual growth of essential HR processes and policies such as policy management, compliance training, LOA best practices, and so on, all while adhering to federal, state, and municipal employment regulations in the United States and the United Kingdom.
- Collaborate with People Business Partners and other cross-functional teams to identify and execute solutions for improving operational effectiveness.
- Ensure continuing compliance with relevant rules and requirements to reduce risk and exposure for the organization; collaborate with legal to handle any employment-related legal concerns.
- Collaborate with internal communications to promote communication strategies for People Operations programs and announcements.
- Oversee and improve incoming People Ops requests and employee self-service resources, ensuring that People Operations team materials are up to date and relevant to deliver a smooth experience for workers.
- Create a variety of resources, ranging from internet information to internal standard operating procedures; modify current processes to match business-specific needs.
- Drive and support the development and evolution of all HR systems (including HRIS) to ensure that they are optimal and allow us to work efficiently and effectively.
- Help build metrics and procedures to review policies and associated programs to guarantee a data-driven approach to measuring effectiveness; utilize data to recommend and execute solutions in support of team and/or company priorities.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience stressing about employee experience in an HR/People Operations capacity.
- 2+ years' experience leading a team, focused on generating responsibility and outcomes.
- Strong HR functional experience; competent in employment law compliance, policy building, and process development.
- Strong business acumen to produce impactful ideas, display innovative problem solving and critical thinking abilities; ability to apply sound judgment.
- Previous experience developing scalable operational support infrastructure for all people systems, including HRIS.
- Capability to utilize data to generate recommendations and decisions.
- Ability to anticipate forward and develop for the long term to establish proactive, rather than reactive process
- Passionate about delivering an amazing experience for workers of all levels.
- Confident in developing and suggesting initiatives or programs required to achieve functional goals.
- Improves others by work assessments, detailed documentation, and mentoring in their area of expertise

Pay: $87k to 122k annually
