WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Senior Manager, Logistics will oversee warehouse operations and work on field production initiatives, ensuring efficient logistics and production support. This role involves coordinating large project logistics, fleet management, international logistics, warehouse compliance, financial management, budgeting, human resource responsibilities, production assistance, and administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
- Manage company inventory and approved inventory management system.
- Ensure all inventory arriving or departing warehouse is documented and new items are communicated to accounts team for billing purposes.
- Conduct cycle counts in Fishbowl, including monthly pallet cycle counts.
- Coordinate trucking for large projects, including budgeting and deadline creation.
- Manage fleet maintenance and repairs, including forklifts, vans, and trucks.
- Handle international logistics partners, including supply chain management and customs.
- Ensure warehouse compliance with fire inspections, security measures, OSHA standards, and maintain ADT security systems and CCTV.
- Direct management of the logistics manager and warehouse associates.
- Manage hourly budgeting and approve timecards.
Financial Management and Budgeting:
- Take charge of warehouse P&L.
- Oversee recurring billings for services such as trash, compacting, janitorial, and temporary staffing.
- Manage billings for third-party trucking and freight services, including tolls.
- Handle packing supply orders and reconciliation, P&L reconciliation, and project estimates.
- Responsible for billing tasks, including trucking incidents, insurance claims, and client logistics.
- Provide oversight and guidelines for estimates, reviewing, and approving or rejecting project estimates.
- Provide cost estimates for logistics, kitting, and warehousing work.
- Organize quarterly client meetings and update logistics billing codes.
Management and Leadership:
- Support project teams in planning and pitching effective strategies and logistics plans for live events in brand marketing campaigns.
- Assist in recruiting, vetting, and managing field production team to support delivery of in market projects.
- Prepare and manage RFPs for vendors/contractors.
- Manage multiple event campaigns and deliverables simultaneously, prioritizing time effectively for all projects.
- Build and maintain successful relationships, focusing on revenue maintenance and growth, program execution, and delivering exceptional service.
WAYS TO STAND OUT IN THE CROWD
- Proven experience in warehouse management, logistics, and production.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, budgeting, and P&L analysis.
- Experience with international logistics and supply chain management preferred.
- Familiarity with OSHA compliance and warehouse safety standards.
- Proficient in software tools such as Smartsheets, Fishbowl, and database management.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- 7 years of experience in hands-on event production with integrated agencies or in-house clients.
- 5 years in management overseeing production teams, vendors, and freelancers.
- Proven ability to handle fast-paced environments and accelerated production schedules.
- Strong understanding of business finance, estimate development, and project profitability.
- Willingness to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and to travel regularly.
- Excellent work ethic, passion for creating best-in-class experiences, and a collaborative team player mindset.
- Creative vision with the ability to bring ideas to life in an engaging, effective manner.
