Work Schedule: Monday – Friday (9:00 am – 6:00 pm)

Job Overview:

• Prepare and process various payrollcyclesfor multiple states.

• Maintains all wage assignment and child support set up, deductions, and payments to various courts, vendors, and Expert Pay.

• Pays employees by directing the production and issuance of paychecks or electronic transfers to bank accounts.

• Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages.

• Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.

• Work with Payroll Manager to determinepayroll liabilities by approving the calculation of employee federal and state income and social security taxes, and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments.

• Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.

• Maintain employee leave balances, benefit payroll deductions, and garnishments.

• Comply with local, state, and federal payroll regulations and respond to questions and special requests from regulatory agencies.

• Completes all Verification of Employment

Job Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Associates degree or equivalent from a 2-year college or technical school preferred.

• Minimum of 1-3 years of payroll processing experience.

• Thorough understanding of payroll processing, procedures, and payroll tax reports.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.

• Must maintain strict confidentiality of all information.

• Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally to employees and management.

• Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities, accuracy in work & detail oriented.
