Job Title: Payroll Manager - HVAC/Plumbing
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our team in the HVAC/Plumbing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll management, expertise in using Dominion Payroll, and a deep understanding of certified wages in compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Processing:
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for HVAC/Plumbing employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Utilize Dominion Payroll to process payroll transactions, deductions, and withholdings.
2. Certified Wages Compliance:
- Stay current on prevailing wage laws and certified wage requirements applicable to the HVAC/Plumbing industry.
- Ensure that all payroll processes comply with industry-specific certified wage regulations.
3. Data Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records related to wages, benefits, and deductions.
- Work closely with HR to gather necessary payroll information and resolve any discrepancies.
4. Dominion Payroll Expertise:
- Demonstrate proficiency in using Dominion Payroll software for efficient payroll processing.
- Stay informed about updates and new features within the Dominion Payroll system.
5. Reporting:
- Generate and analyze payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and submit required reports to government agencies in a timely manner.
6. Communication:
- Collaborate with HR, finance, and department managers to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve issues.
- Communicate effectively with employees regarding payroll policies, procedures, and changes.
7. Compliance and Audit Support:
- Assist in internal and external audits related to payroll and certified wages.
- Ensure all payroll-related documentation is organized and readily available for audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager, preferably in the HVAC/Plumbing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of certified wages, prevailing wage laws, and industry-specific compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in using Dominion Payroll or similar payroll software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
