Position Summary:
The Payroll Compliance Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring meticulous payroll administration, compliance adherence, and efficient operational support. Responsible for overseeing Paycom responsibilities, compliance and training initiatives, and providing essential payroll support, this role demands a meticulous eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to accuracy.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Conducting comprehensive face-to-face training sessions with staff and ensuring subsequent documented trainings in Paycom payroll software.
- Tracking individual progress, enabling informed decisions for potential disciplinary actions based on detailed reports.
- Daily review of hourly employee schedules, pinpointing exception points, and enforcing compliance with face-to-face payroll training standards for field employees. Taking corrective actions including personnel change form submissions, overtime confirmation, and precise meal calculations.
- Consolidation of multiple reports to identify training opportunities for both Payroll Compliance and or operations managers.
- Coordination of monthly review with operations executives with Senior Payroll Manager
- Perform New Hire Orientation in tandem with Human Resources for on boarding experience
- Maintaining schedules, submitting PAFs for approval, and adeptly assigning documents and checklists.
- Proficiently managing the employee Paycom database, including accurate employee classification and detailed timecard information validation through supervisor and employee approvals.
- Validation of employee location using timecard reporting and reconciliation by address
- Daily dashboard export for employee outreach determined by missing punches and punch change requests made.
- Administrate the Ask Here feature for Time and Attendance.
- Undertaking general administrative tasks while actively identifying payroll-related issues for management review. Recommending procedural enhancements through thorough Paycom report center analysis.
- Leveraging payroll system reporting capabilities to craft standard or customized automated management reports for flagged shifts.
- Providing comprehensive registration, timecard, and device usage support, offering training during new hire orientations, and resolving employee payroll queries promptly.
- Safeguarding confidential information in written and electronic formats, maintaining secure filing systems encompassing pay data, employee details, and state filings.
- Collaborating closely with Human Resources, managing employee payroll inquiries, and conducting periodic audits of employee profiles.
- Engaging in special projects as directed or as necessitated by specific situations.
- 3 years of hands-on full life cycle training in a union-based environment.
- Strong knowledge of different payroll systems (Preferably Paycom).
- A bachelor’s degree OR equivalent work experience in lieu of.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced work environment.
- Math Skills – Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages and averages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra to excel spreadsheets.
- Computer Skills –Essential technical competencies in the use of computers and standard business applications; Microsoft Excel and Word processing software; and be proficient on applicable databases, systems and vendor software programs.
- Be able to work in a team-oriented environment, maintain a positive attitude at all times, and be able to assist the team/department to complete goals.
