Payroll Clerk
As a Payroll Clerk at Creo Solutions, you will administer the pay, benefits, & 401K functions of the Human Resources (HR) department. Work hours are 1- 5 p.m. daily, with ability to expand a few weeks a year.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll
- Performs all payroll duties with integrity, accuracy, timeliness, and customer-service orientation.
- Systematically record employee maintenance including new hire setup, pay structure, tax form processing, benefits & 401K setup, terminations, garnishments, and other functions as needed
- Perform year-end processing, including W-2, ACA, and related filings and reporting
- Manage payroll categorization and employee set-up in payroll system
- Review and reconcile monthly billings from insurance providers for accuracy, resolve discrepancies with payroll
- Helps to prepare and submit periodic internal/external payroll audits and compliance reporting, including 401(k), Workers Compensation, and others, as necessary.
- Communicate with employees, as well as Creo and other Company teams
HRIS
- Develops and maintains knowledge of Paylocity, including but not limited to various modules, payroll codes, and employee/benefits data
- Partners with Paylocity to troubleshoot employee payroll requests and escalates support tickets as needed
- Ensures quarterly and annual tax reports are filed with Paylocity.
- Updates Salesforce HR application with relevant employee information
Skills and qualifications:
· 6 months payroll and payroll system experience
· High-level Excel abilities (can maintain complex spreadsheets)
· Excellent math and problem-solving skills
· High level of detail orientation, organization, accuracy, and sense of urgency
· Strong communication, interpersonal and customers service skills; work well as part of a team
· Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and tact
