Top Responsibilities of the Payroll Clerk: 

• Manage the end-to-end payroll process for unionized employees, ensuring accurate and timely distribution of wages.
• Verify and process union dues, pension contributions, and other deductions in accordance with collective bargaining agreements.
• Stay current with union agreements, labor laws, and regulations to ensure compliance in payroll processing.
• Prepare and submit required reports to union organizations and regulatory agencies
• Maintain accurate and organized payroll records, including time and attendance data, benefit information, and union-related documentation.
• Respond to inquiries and provide necessary documentation during audits.
• Collaborate with HR, finance, and other departments to gather necessary information for payroll processing
• Address payroll-related queries from union representatives and employees in a timely and professional manner.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll records promptly.
• Work with internal and external stakeholders to address and resolve payroll-related issues.

Qualifications: Payroll Clerk

• Associates degree
• Previous experience in a payroll position 
• Experience processing union payroll 
• Proficient in using payroll software and systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
