Overview

Inotiv is expanding their integrated Drug Discovery and Translational Sciences (DTS) platform and seeking a well-trained, versatile product and service marketing manager to help develop and expand our growing drug discovery offering through sales and content marketing to new and existing customers in strategic markets.  We are hiring for a Manager, Portfolio Marketing - Global Discovery

 

Supports global market share of assigned product and service line(s) by creating awareness, qualified leads, and acceptance within targeted customer base. Provides product and service leadership to the commercial team by studying the market and working with the customer experience team to provide market intel and market research as needed.  Works with a cross-functional team to influence decisions regarding strategy, objectives, and tactics to drive brand awareness and lead generation. A core responsibility of this role is building scientific marketing content and identifying the proper channels and customer base to target. Communicate and collaborate with the full, global marketing team as needed to identify co-marketing opportunities and ensure strategic and tactical alignment.

 

The position will help drive DTS growth by engaging and networking within accounts to promote and leverage our integrated services portfolio to obtain additional business and expand product and services usage. A high degree of consultation between operational scientists, sales and marketing teams, and customer service will be critical in building relationships with customers to help drive Inotiv brand awareness and lead generation within the DTS portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and build therapeutic and scientific discipline based marketing content
  • Work with portfolio, brand and digital team to coordinate campaign execution, material design/creation, website updates, marketing analytics, event/conference presence, etc.
  • Define and execute market research as needed to drive marketing efforts.
  • Assist in the production of annual strategic marketing plan.
  • Enable and support Inotiv sales teams and the commercial organization to optimally position the DTS portfolio in the life science market
  • Support and help develop Inotiv sales teams to be able to target key prospects and recognize service opportunities
  • Identify and provide critical market assessment to Marketing and R&D teams for potential new product and service offerings
  • Identify critical inputs for VOC feedback in partnership with Inotiv's Customer Experience program manager
  • Identify and support development of critical partnerships with internal and external organizations and business entities which help the services group build our portfolio and offering
  • Support Commercial and Operational leadership teams analyzing the Inotiv services sales pipeline and driving strategy for converting business
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, this position requires that the Manager, Global DiscoveryPortfolio Marketing to possesses:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required. MS, MBA, or PhD is a plus or equivalent work experience.
  • A successful history of at least three years sales and/or marketing experience in the life sciences marketplace working with large academic and government accounts, CRO, or large Pharmaceutical companies
  • Life Science industry or Lab / bench level pre-clinical or academic research experience in lieu of sales and/or marketing experience
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record are required
  • Must be willing and able to travel domestically 25% of time
  • Ability to build strong relationships with external and internal customers
  • Strong consultative selling skills and proven capability to close sales
  • Be detail-oriented and Customer-Centric
  • Possess excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

It would be a bonus if a candidate also has:

  • MS, MBA, or PhD in Life, or Animal Sciences, Disease Pharmacology, or specific Therapeutic Areas
  • Life Science Industry experience
  • Experience with a CRM tool, i.e., Salesforce.com and Hubspot

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience.  The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person's relevant experience and/or education level.
