The Payroll and Benefits Specialist is responsible for providing support to the operations team relating to payroll, benefits and leave administration. This role will work with employees to assist with the bi-weekly time tracking and processing of payroll. The role will provide customer support to employees in regard to payroll and benefits.
Job Description
Key Outcomes and Responsibilities:
- Supports the Payroll Administration with the payroll processing.
- Administers the time tracking functionality and handles time questions.
- Prepares invoices and payments associated with payroll and benefits.
- Audits and maintains accurate benefit enrollments and time accruals.
- Develops and maintains standard reports and ad hoc reporting for HR and Finance.
- Supports employee benefits including employee orientation and open enrollment.
- Responds to customer service inquiries in collaboration with the HR Service Center.
- Maintains confidentiality regarding personnel actions within the system.
- Tracks required license and certifications.
- Processes and tracks unemployment paperwork.
Education/Experience:
- Associate Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
- 1 year of experience in payroll preferred
- Proficient in Excel
