Starting pay will be based on experience, with multiple opportunities for raises, overtime, profit-sharing, and other benefits.
The right candidate for this position will be responsible for all HR, PR, and Accounting aspects of the business: Bookkeeping, Payroll, Human Resources, Clerical/Administrative. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Accounts receivables (invoicing, payments, statements, applying credits, customer and grower billing)
- High level of data entry and record keeping
- Inventory input and balancing
- Bill of Lading and Certification of Analysis documents for outgoing shipments
- Weekly payroll processing and tax reporting for state, federal, unemployment, etc...
- General ledger management (chart of accounts, general journal entries, double entry bookkeeping system)
- Banking (deposits, balancing, transfers, Direct deposits, reconciliation of bank accounts)
- Information preparation for end of year reports to provide to CPA
- Information preparation for annual audits, state and federal requests.
- W-4, I-9,W-2, 1099, W-9 processing for all employees and subcontractors.
- Intake of temporary employees during harvest season
- Shared responsibility for walk-in sales of frozen wild blueberries, Petty cash, Phones, Email, and Mail.
- Workers’ compensation reporting, maintain health insurance policy and claims, coordination of benefits for all employees
MUST have a degree in business (accounting or finance preferred), OR equivalent of 3 years work experience in office management positions. Proficiency of Excel and Microsoft Office suite is required. Proficiency of QuickBooks is strongly recommended. Must be highly organized, with refined time management skills. Must be able to adapt to a changing work load on a day-to-day basis. MUST be able to ensure confidentiality of secure employee/company information. Finally, must be personable, able to work closely with 2 other office staff, 10 other full time employees, as well as many seasonal employees in this small, friendly, family-owned, agriculture business that has been in operation since 1925.
