BangorHousing is seeking a conscientious, attentive, and motivated human resources professional to support our on-site, hybrid, and remote employees. You will be the initial point of contact and primary service provider for employees’ questions and concerns about Payroll and Benefits. You will also be responsible for training, compliance, and documentation of related tasks, and will provide the Chief Financial Officer with reports and support, as needed.
This will be a full-time (37.5 hour), salaried, hybrid or remote position.
Tasks Include:
- On-boarding and off-boarding of employees, including ensuring that administration processes are undertaken efficiently and reported correctly to external partners.
- Supporting organizational changes.
- Delivering Payroll and Benefits presentations during new hire orientation.
- Developing and/or participating in trainings, in-services, and attending staff meetings, as required.
- Handling day-to-day Payroll and Benefits administration, portal management, and follow-up with employees.
- Attending to employee engagement, attraction, and retention.
- Providing efficient training and being a source of knowledge of all BangorHousing human resource policies, processes, systems, and providers.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree or Associate’s Degree and two years’ payroll experience.
- Two years’ experience in a fast-paced, confidential, people-focused environment, focusing on Payroll and Benefits administration.
- Strong time-management, adaptability, and prioritization skills.
- Experience in Payroll and Benefits software as well as Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Training and onboarding experience desirable.
