UPM's HR function is looking for a Payroll Analyst who is responsible for managing assigned pay groups within Americas region. This includes oversight of the applicable payroll vendor, payroll processing, issue resolution and payroll reporting.. The preferred location for this position is Naperville, Illinois. Fully-remote, home office based is an alternative location which would be considered for the right candidate.

What you will do:
- Manage third party payroll vendor(s) as it relates to tasks and activities for assigned pay groups
- Ensure accurate and timely production of assigned payrolls according to established processes
- Monitor and analyze payroll accounts and collaborate with finance department as it relates to financial reporting and reconciliations
- Conduct recurring month, quarter and year-end related payroll activities for assigned pay groups and entities. this includes reporting and KPI/performance monitor
- Maintain efficient and effective payroll procedures and work instructions
- Ensure compliance with both external legal requirements as well as established internal controls and requirements
- Provide payroll related data and reporting as required by both internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate and collaborate with other departments within the HR function to ensure seamless HR processes for employees and retirees.
Who you are:
- You have a bachelor's degree in HR, finance or a related field
- You have 3 to 5 years of payroll related experience and preferably also have 2 to 3 years general HR or finance experience
- You are analytical, detail oriented and comfortable working independently.
- You can communicate effectively with others.
- You have relevant payroll system experience ideally with ADP payroll solutions such as WFN, WFM and/or Celergo
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
