Job Title: Payroll Analyst
Duration: 10 Months
Location: Lake Forest, IL
Primary Objective:
Manage financial negotiations and operations related to Relocation Inventory properties. Develop and implement new processes. Represent the Company to external vendors and oversee vendor programs. Create customized reports and metrics as required.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Correspond with Grainger's Relocation partner regarding inventory homes and financial matters. Act as the Company's representative to the third-party relocation partner.
- Negotiate offers on inventory properties and handle cost-related issues.
- Provide Relocation Vendor with reports required for SAP-related relocations, such as BW, Ad Hoc Query, Wage Type Reporter, or Payroll Reconciliation Reports.
- Develop, analyze, and report on metrics for the payroll department.
- Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on PST data and calculations. Perform non-discrimination testing for the Company's PST plan.
- The program, analyzes, and modifies Risk Management reports regularly based on requests.
- Develop and maintain web applications for the payroll department on the Company Intranet.
- Initiate proactive involvement with partners to identify projects, data analysis, and process improvement.
- Perform special projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3-4 years of experience in a reporting and analysis environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in report writing and analysis using BW, Ad Hoc Query, and Focus reporting.
- Relocation or PST subject matter expertise is highly desirable.
- Advanced PC knowledge, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database file management.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building and maintaining internal and external relationships.
- Experience with automated Human Resources Management/Payroll systems is essential.
