Payroll Analyst, US
Location: Wheeling, IL (hybrid) or Auburn Hills, MI (hybrid)

Position Summary
The Payroll Analyst has the primary responsibility for payroll and related activities for DESTACO US (~350 employees, four locations and employees working remotely from states beyond our four US locations) and also is the point person for overall Destaco global payroll awareness. The Payroll Analyst, is responsible for ensuring completion and accuracy of payroll for US operations including hourly and salaried DESTACO employees. They are a member of the HR team and will be responsible for accurate processing and recording the company’s payroll, providing timely and accurate information, and participating in daily data entry and payroll processing. As part of continuous improvement initiatives, the Payroll Analyst is the subject matter expert and helps drive, identify, and implement system revisions/upgrades of the ADP payroll platforms and analyzing post-implementation results of system changes. They ensure that computing, withholding, or deductions associated with net pay is done properly for standard payroll and for complex payments. Organizes and reviews forms associated with federal, state, and local authorities, such as W-2s. Ensures payroll records are updated and reports on any matters of interest. A wide degree of discretion, independent judgment, and latitude is expected in order to meet the reoccurring payroll calendar deadlines. The Payroll Analyst reports to the HR Director, Americas and Corporate who is a member of DESTACO’s HR leadership team. The position is located out of our Auburn Hills, MI, Corporate Office or our Wheeling, IL site working in a hybrid way. The position assists with reporting for the Americas Region and requires communication at various levels across the organization.
Key Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:
· Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely for U.S. operations
· Support continuous improvement and standardization of the ADP E-time, Payroll and Workforce systems and be the payroll subject matter expert and implement system revisions/upgrades impacting payroll processes
· Responsible for ensuring proper computing and withholding on complex payments such bonus payments (processing payroll)
· Partners with finance on reporting requirements
· Process accurate and timely year-end reporting when necessary including W-2
· Responsible for processing and reconciling 401k for each pay and responsible for the yearly 401k year-end true up process and associated profit-sharing calculations and funding
· Program e-time to appropriately track attendance, vacation and working hours
· Process payroll for multiple locations in one pay group and includes: garnishment, child support, and bankruptcy calculations and reconciling payroll prior to transmission
· Run reports to support the plants, finance and human resources as needed (examples include tracking labor for value stream/cell/operation, efficiencies, working hours and information necessary for journal entries)
· Responsible for processing expense report payments and audits
Job Requirements:
Experience:
· Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in payroll, preferably in a manufacturing environment
· Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Strong Excel skills.
· Experience with system transitions and integrations preferred

Education and Certification Qualifications
· Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred
· Payroll Specialist Certification preferred
