We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Coordinator. As a Patient Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and systems, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. Customer service and patient care are a top priority
Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Greet patients and provide them with necessary paperwork
- Verify patient insurance information and collect co-pays or payments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
- Coordinate referrals to specialists or other healthcare providers
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in a dental office or healthcare setting
- Proficiency in dental terminology and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with Open Dental Software is a plus
